The 15 Most Underrated NFL Stars of the 21st Century

Some NFL players get all the headlines, and others just quietly dominate. This list is for the guys who never seemed to get the love they deserved, even though their resumes are rock solid.

Whether it was because they played in small markets, were overshadowed by flashier teammates, or just didn’t talk much, these 15 players made a huge impact without the hype. Let’s give them the flowers they probably won’t ask for.

15. Michael Turner

He was the workhorse back you could count on every Sunday, but somehow his name never cracked the household list. Turner piled up yards and touchdowns like it was nothing, especially in his early Falcons years.

14. Brian Orakpo

13. Kevin Williams

11. London Fletcher

10. Matt Forte

Dec 5, 2016; East Rutherford, NJ, USA; New York Jets running back Matt Forte (22) runs with the ball during the first half against the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium.

9. Chad Greenway

In Cleveland and later in Indy, Jackson was a tackling machine who brought order to chaotic defenses. He didn’t do a lot of chest-pounding, but he showed up every single week.

6. Vincent Jackson

5. Kyle Williams

4. Carson Palmer
