Gregg Glenn III Dies in Tragic Car Accident
The college basketball world is in mourning after Gregg Glenn III, a 22-year-old forward for Tulane University, tragically passed away in a car accident over the weekend. Tulane confirmed the heartbreaking news on Monday.
Glenn, a 6-foot-7 veteran player who began his collegiate career at Michigan, was entering his third season at Tulane. He was coming off a strong year, averaging 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game during the 2024–25 season.

In an emotional statement, Tulane University paid tribute to Glenn’s impact both on and off the court.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Gregg Glenn III. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family, friends, and everyone who knew and cared for him,” the school said.
Tulane’s full announcement described Glenn as a Health & Wellness major from Pompano Beach, Florida, known for his positive energy, infectious personality, and kindness. As the oldest sibling in his family, Glenn was a leader not just in basketball but also in life.
“His commitment to excellence inspired many of us,” the university wrote. “He brought joy and light to those around him.”
