20 College Football Coaches Who Thought They Were Untouchable

There’s nothing quite like a college football coach who believes the rules don’t apply to them. Whether they were winning big, running their mouths, or just acting like the king of campus, these guys carried themselves like they had lifetime contracts, even when the writing was on the wall.

Some of them crashed and burned in glorious fashion. Others just faded away when reality finally caught up. From massive egos to complete denial, here are 20 college football coaches who truly believed they were untouchable.

USC gave him chance after chance after chance, and he acted like he was owed all of them. Helton coasted on the Trojans’ brand while the program slowly wilted.

16. Scott Frost

13. Kevin Sumlin

12. Tom Herman
