Denny Hamlin Promises “All Will Be Exposed” as NASCAR Lawsuit Heats Up

Hamlin and Jordan’s 23XI Racing Takes Bold Stand

Denny Hamlin, co-owner of 23XI Racing alongside Michael Jordan, has escalated his public fight with NASCAR after a federal judge denied a restraining order to protect their charter status. With the team now racing without guaranteed spots, Hamlin didn’t hold back, saying, “All will be exposed.”

The lawsuit, filed by 23XI and Front Row Motorsports (FRM), accuses NASCAR of violating antitrust laws by maintaining control over the charter system and pressuring teams into signing unfair contract extensions. Out of 15 teams offered the deal, only 23XI and FRM refused.

Charters are vital in NASCAR, offering guaranteed race entries, payout stability, and sponsor confidence. Without them, 23XI’s cars driven by Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, and Riley Herbst, must qualify for every race as “open entries.” That’s a huge risk, especially if more than 40 cars attempt to race.

Reddick’s contract includes a clause allowing him to leave if the charter is lost. On Saturday, he declined to comment. Hamlin also avoided the topic but stressed, “Dec 1 is all that matters. Mark your calendar.” That date could signal a courtroom showdown with the potential to reshape NASCAR’s governance.

What’s at Stake in the NASCAR Lawsuit?

If 23XI and FRM win, NASCAR’s charter system could face a massive overhaul. A victory might allow teams greater independence, improve competitive balance, and bring transparency to how NASCAR deals with team ownership and contracts. It could also determine whether these two high-profile organizations remain in the sport long-term.

For now, Denny Hamlin remains firm: “If you want answers… come Dec. 1.” And NASCAR fans across the country will be watching.
