Fever Shine Without Caitlin Clark in Win Over Aces

Fever Step Up Without Caitlin Clark in Key Victory

Caitlin Clark may be sidelined, but the Indiana Fever proved they could still bring the heat. On Thursday night, they snapped a two-game skid with a solid 80–70 win over the Las Vegas Aces.

This win was especially satisfying after back-to-back losses to the New York Liberty. And it was veteran forward Natasha Howard who stole the show. Howard posted an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double, adding three steals, an assist, and a three-pointer in just 30 minutes of play. The performance earned her “Stat Leader of the Game” honors from the team.

Clark’s Absence Spurs Team Effort

Caitlin Clark missed her third straight game due to a re-aggravated groin injury, and while there’s no timetable for her return, the Fever have reason to stay optimistic. Team doctors found no new damage, which suggests she could still make a strong comeback later this season.

In the meantime, the Fever’s roster stepped up. Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 21 points, Aliyah Boston added a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Sophie Cunningham stayed hot with 15 points, hitting three of four from deep.

Now 13–12 on the season, Indiana heads into a Sunday matchup with the Chicago Sky hoping to keep momentum on their side, even as their biggest star remains on the bench.
