The 2024 NFL season is in the books, and with it comes the usual coaching shake-ups. Some NFC head coaches proved their worth, leading their teams deep into the playoffs. Others? Not so much.

Now that the dust has settled, let’s rank all 16 NFC head coaches from worst to best based on their performance this season.

Eberflus’ tenure in Chicago was rough from start to finish, and it finally came to an end after another disappointing season. Questionable game management and a failure to develop young talent sealed his fate. The Bears need a fresh start.

After winning Coach of the Year in 2022, Brian Daboll’s stock has plummeted. The Daniel Jones contract debacle and an offense that completely fell apart this season have put his future in doubt. The Giants need a serious reset.

Another year, another early playoff exit. The Cowboys showed flashes of brilliance in 2024, but their inability to win when it mattered most lands McCarthy near the bottom of the rankings. Dallas fans are getting tired of the same story.

13. Dave Canales – Carolina Panthers

Canales inherited a disaster in Carolina and didn’t have much to work with. The Panthers struggled mightily in 2024, but it’s hard to blame him entirely. His development of rookie quarterback Bryce Young will determine his future.

12. Jonathan Gannon – Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals showed fight in 2024, but inconsistency plagued them all season. Gannon’s defense had some good moments, but the offense lacked firepower. He’ll get another year, but Arizona needs serious upgrades.

Bowles’ defense kept the Bucs competitive, but a lack of offensive firepower made for a rollercoaster season. Tampa made a playoff push but ultimately fell short. His future as head coach remains uncertain.

Rizzi stepped in as interim head coach after the Saints fired Dennis Allen, and while he wasn’t bad, he didn’t do enough to solidify himself as the long-term answer. The Saints will likely look elsewhere in the offseason.
