Ben Shelton Wimbledon Performance
Ben Shelton has been making waves at Wimbledon. But it was his sister Emma who unexpectedly stole the spotlight, and not for her tennis skills.
Following his straight-sets win over Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics (6-3, 7-6, 6-2), Shelton shared an emotional and light-hearted moment during his post-match interview. The American star, currently seeded No. 10, gave credit to his team. Including his parents, USWNT star girlfriend Trinity Rodman, and notably, his sister Emma.
But then came the twist: Shelton revealed Emma works for Morgan Stanley and had to return to the U.S. for work on Monday. The crowd at Centre Court didn’t love that part. As soon as Shelton mentioned her employer, boos erupted, playfully, of course—prompting Emma to bury her face in her hands in embarrassment.

Ben’s Plea Gets His Sister Time Off
Shelton didn’t miss the opportunity to make a bold ask:
“If any of you all have some connections and can get her a couple extra days off… that’d be great.”
Turns out, it worked.
Later that day, Emma Shelton shared a joyous video on Instagram. When her brother asked if she got the week off, she jumped with excitement while the caption read:
“Thank you MS 💙💙💙 return flight: cancelled.”
Ben Shelton will now face Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego on Monday in the fourth round. The two have a recent history. Shelton defeated Sonego at the Australian Open earlier this year.
With Emma still courtside, perhaps Shelton’s “lucky charm” will help him power even further into Wimbledon’s second week.
