Angel Reese Sets WNBA Record with Another Historic Feat

Angel Reese Historic Double-Double Streak

After shining during All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, Angel Reese returned to action Tuesday night and immediately made WNBA history.

The rising star notched her 10th consecutive double-double, finishing with 11 points and 11 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. That performance makes her the first player in WNBA history to record multiple streaks of 10 or more double-doubles.

While Reese had posted a modest 10 or 11 rebounds in each of her last four games, her current streak began with a dominant stretch where she averaged 17 rebounds over six contests. Her consistency and hustle on both ends have made her one of the league’s most impactful rebounders.

Reese’s first double-digit double-double streak came during her rookie season, when she tallied 15 straight double-doubles, a run that ranks among the greatest rebounding feats in WNBA history.

Chasing Rebounding Greatness

In her rookie year, Reese grabbed a total of 446 rebounds, finishing just five behind MVP A’ja Wilson, the two highest single-season totals ever recorded in the league.

Although a hand fracture forced her to miss the final six games of the season, Reese’s stats still placed her in elite company and set a high bar for future campaigns.

Now healthy and back in rhythm, Reese is once again rewriting the record books, proving she’s not just a breakout star, but a player building a historic legacy in the WNBA.
