Winning is great, but bragging rights? That’s a whole different ballgame. Whether it’s Super Bowl titles, legendary players, or just making their rivals miserable, some NFL teams have way more reasons to talk trash than others.
Let’s rank all 32 teams based on who can walk into any football debate with their head held the highest.
32. Houston Texans

You can’t have bragging rights if you’ve never even been to a Super Bowl. The Texans are still waiting for their first truly great moment—and no, a couple of J.J. Watt seasons don’t count.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars

They’ve had some fun playoff runs, but no rings and just one AFC Championship Game loss since 1995 isn’t much to flex about. The most memorable thing about the Jags is their mascot jumping into a pool.
30. Detroit Lions

Yes, the Lions are finally turning things around, but a team that hasn’t won an NFL Championship since 1957 doesn’t get to talk too much. Maybe once they reach a Super Bowl, they can start chirping.
29. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have been around since 1898 and still don’t have a Super Bowl win. They had that one amazing Larry Fitzgerald moment, but that was immediately erased by a Santonio Holmes toe-tap.
28. Cleveland Browns

Bragging about pre-Super Bowl era championships is like flexing on people with your great-great-grandfather’s achievements. They have a passionate fanbase, but their biggest recent moment was winning a playoff game against a broken Steelers team.
27. New York Jets

Joe Namath’s Super Bowl III guarantee was legendary, but that was over 50 years ago. Jets fans are still talking about that because, well, there’s not much else to brag about.
26. Atlanta Falcons

They had the most infamous collapse in Super Bowl history, and that’s what everyone remembers. Until they erase “28-3” from football fans’ memories, their bragging rights will remain nonexistent.
25. Minnesota Vikings

Four Super Bowl losses and the “Wide Left” kick against Seattle pretty much sum up their pain. They’re historically competitive, but “almost” winning isn’t really something to boast about.
24. Los Angeles Chargers

Having cool uniforms and Justin Herbert is nice, but rings talk. The Chargers haven’t done anything too memorable since their 1994 Super Bowl loss, and blowing leads is kind of their thing.
23. Tennessee Titans

They got within one yard of forcing overtime in Super Bowl XXXIV, which is both impressive and incredibly painful. No rings = no real bragging rights.
22. Carolina Panthers

Two Super Bowl trips but no wins means they have some history to be proud of. But Cam Newton dabbing in 2015 and then not diving on a fumble in the Super Bowl isn’t exactly a strong case for dominance.
21. Indianapolis Colts

Peyton Manning delivered them a Super Bowl, but they really should’ve had more during his time there. They’ll always have the 2006 ring, but losing Andrew Luck early still stings.
20. Buffalo Bills

Four straight Super Bowl trips in the ’90s were legendary, but losing all four cancels out most of the bragging rights. Until they win one, they’ll always be the “almost” team.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady taking them to a Super Bowl at 43 years old? Instant bragging rights. Plus, they have more Super Bowl wins than the Cowboys since 1996.
18. New Orleans Saints

The Saints will always have their emotional Super Bowl win post-Katrina and Drew Brees’ greatness. But outside of 2009, it’s been a lot of playoff heartbreak and some very questionable officiating.
17. Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals finally got out of their playoff curse and made a Super Bowl recently, but no ring means they can’t talk too much. At least they have Joe Burrow, aka Joe Cool 2.0.
16. Seattle Seahawks

That one yard away from winning a second Super Bowl still haunts them, but at least they have the 2013 demolition of the Broncos. “Legion of Boom” will always be a mic-drop moment in football history.
15. Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders’ mystique and “Just Win, Baby” mentality still hold weight, even if they’ve been pretty bad for the last two decades. Three Super Bowls and a ton of attitude will always give them an edge in football debates.
15. Washington Commanders

Three Super Bowls is great, but their last one was in 1991, and the last few decades have been nothing but chaos. However, Jayden Daniels is the star of the future and reaching the 2024 NFC Championship doesn’t hurt.
14. Chicago Bears

The ’85 Bears defense was so legendary that people still talk about them 40 years later. They haven’t done much since, but when you have Walter Payton, Mike Ditka, and the Super Bowl Shuffle, you can always talk trash.
13. New York Giants

Taking down Tom Brady twice in the Super Bowl is a pretty big flex. Eli Manning’s goofy charm and those miraculous catches give Giants fans bragging rights forever.
12. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have two Super Bowls in two different cities, which is an interesting flex. Plus, they ended the Bengals’ Cinderella story with Aaron Donald being an absolute menace.
10. Denver Broncos

John Elway and Peyton Manning both delivered Super Bowl magic, and that keeps the Broncos in elite company. The “No Fly Zone” defense in 2015 was an all-time unit.
9. Miami Dolphins

They still have the only undefeated season in NFL history. Until another team goes 17-0 and wins the Super Bowl, they’ll always have that trump card.
8. Philadelphia Eagles

Philly fans will never stop talking about the Philly Special and taking down Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII. Oh, and they just won Super Bowl LIX, so they are the reigning champs
7. San Francisco 49ers

Five rings and Joe Montana’s dominance still hold up, but they keep coming up just short in recent Super Bowls. At least they can still say they owned the ’80s.
6. Dallas Cowboys

Five rings, America’s Team branding, and endless media coverage mean the Cowboys always have a seat at the bragging rights table. The only problem? They haven’t been truly relevant since the ’90s.
5. Baltimore Ravens

Two Super Bowl wins, Ray Lewis’ dominance, and Lamar Jackson’s highlight reel plays? The Ravens always have something to brag about.
4. Green Bay Packers

The Packers have 13 championships, the first Super Bowl, and two legendary QBs in Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Even when they’re struggling, they can always flex their history.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers

Six Super Bowl wins, the Steel Curtain, and a die-hard fanbase mean the Steelers will always be in the conversation. Plus, they have more rings than the Cowboys, which they love to remind everyone about.
2. New England Patriots

Six rings, two decades of dominance, and the greatest quarterback-coach duo ever? Yeah, the Patriots have earned the right to talk.
1. Kansas City Chiefs

Right now, it’s the Chiefs’ world, and we’re all just living in it. Three rings in five years, Patrick Mahomes playing like he’s from the future, and a dynasty in the making—Chiefs fans have all the bragging rights they need. They’ve reached seven straight AFC Championship games. That alone is insane.
